Creating a LinkedIn source
On the Conversionomics homepage, you will see a screen with all of your projects; select the project name you will be working on. If you need to create a new project, select the orange button that says "New Project" and follow the instructions
Once you select the project you want to work on, you will see a similar screen as shown below. Select the orange button that says " + New Source"
After selecting the orange button that says " + New Source"
Input the "Source Name" and select "LinkedIn" for the type, then click "CONTINUE" once complete.
You will see this screen:
a) LinkedIn Connection allows you to choose a specific LinkedIn Account for your data
b) the retention period for data depends on the Time Granularity of your request and type of request
c) select the Facets d) select the campaign type
e) LinkedIn allows you to select the type of Objective this data is.
f) Finally, Conversionomics lets you choose a lookback window. This means you can overwrite old data without having to reload the entire dataset. For example, a 30-day lookback window will only replace the last 30 days of data
g) Auto load can be scheduled to run daily, with append or full reload options
hit "SAVE" once complete
- If you have pre-existing data in this Source and want to supplement those with the new data, please DO NOT select "Overwrite data". Not selecting the "Overwrite data", Conversionomics will APPEND, joining the datas
- If you are creating a new Source or want to overwrite the pre-existing ones, please SELECT "Overwrite data". By selecting the "Overwrite data" button, Conversionomics will replace the pre-existing datas with the new one you're about to input
In our situation, we are creating a new source with no prior data; we are going to select the API and "Overwrite data" and chose our Start and end date, and save it by selecting "LOAD"
A screen will pop up asking you if you are sure you want to overwrite existing data, select "YES"
Congratulations! You've successfully created and connect your LinkedIn file into the Conversionomics Source!
