Creating a Facebook Audience Export
To start, navigate to the project you wish to create the export in. Once there, select the 'Exports' tab in the top bar.
From here, press the "New Export" button.
Enter a name for the source and select the type "Facebook Audiences", then press continue in the bottom right of the popup.
You will then be redirected to the export configuration page. Which consists of three different sections that must be completed.
The first section is where you select the source or query that you would like to export.
In the second section, you choose the connection and the account that you would like to export the data to.
Then you must either create or select an Audience by filling in the next three boxes.
Audiences: The name of the Audience within Facebook Audiences. Manually entering a name will create a new Audience.
Customer File Source: Gives the option of selecting User and/or Partner Provided data.
Description: An optional section that is used to describe and help identify the Audience.
If you are using an existing audience, then the "Overwrite data" will become available. This allows you to replace all of the data in an export when activated.
In the third and final section, you must select the columns that you wish to export.
For every column, you must set an alias for it. There are three required alias' that must be filled out before the export can be saved (first_name, last_name, and email). The data type of the column must also match that of the alias.
Finally you can set up a filter to further limit the amount of data being exported.
Once all of these sections have been completed, press the "Save" button in the bottom right of the page and the export will be ready to run.
