Creating an Email Source
On the Conversionomics homepage, you will see a screen with all of your projects; select the project name you will be working on. If you need to create a new project, select the orange button that says "New Project" and follow the instructions
Once you select the project you want to work on, you will see a similar screen as shown below. Select the orange button that says " + New Source"
After selecting the orange button that says " + New Source"
Select "Email Attachment" for the type, then click "CONTINUE". Enter a name for the source and press "SAVE" when completed.
You will then be redirected to the source's configuration screen.
From here, you are given a randomly generated email address. The source will attempt to pull data from any email sent to this address.
NOTE: We do not store emails sent to these addresses. Only the file pulled from the email is stored.
Skipping X lines at the beginning or end of the file will allow you to ignore irrelevant rows when pulling data into the source.
"Report Link Regex" is an optional setting that should only be used if the file is not sent as an attachment. The regex will be used to get a hyperlink from the email in order to directly download the file.
NOTE: If authentication is required to download the file from a hyperlink, then the source will be unable to retrieve the data.
"Test Regex" will allow you to check if the regex entered is pulling the desired hyperlink.
Turning on "Overwrite data" will cause any file loaded into the source to replace the existing data. Otherwise the data will be appended to the existing data in the source.
Finally, the Look Back Days option allows data within the number of days entered to be reloaded every time the source is run.
Once the required settings are filled, the configuration can be saved and the source will be ready to run.
