Creating a Facebook Page Insights Source
On the Conversionomics homepage, you will see a screen with all of your projects; select the project name you will be working on. If you need to create a new project, select the orange button that says "New Project" and follow the instructions
Once you select the project you want to work on, you will see a similar screen as shown below. Select the orange button that says " + New Source"
After selecting the orange button that says " + New Source"
Input the "Source Name" and select "Facebook Pages" for the type, then click "CONTINUE" once complete.
You will be redirected to the source's configuration screen.
Here you must select a connection to the Facebook Page Insights API and a Page from which to pull data from.
Metrics are available on a post information level or page information level. Either can be selected by using the "Insights type" dropdown. Please note, different options and metrics are available depending on the option selected in this dropdown.
To request metrics on a page level, make sure "Pages" is selected in the "Insights type" dropdown. You will then choose a period as defined by the Facebook Pages API, and metrics available for that period.
To request metrics on a post level, you must provide a date range and a post published within that date range. Clicking the "Use all posts" toggle will select all posts published within the given date range. If the "Use all posts" toggle is on and no date is supplied, ALL historical posts will be pulled for the specified page. This is potentially a massive amount of data, so exercise caution using this configuration. You will then choose a period as defined by the Facebook Pages API, and metrics available for that period.
At this point, choose the metrics you wish to include in Conversionomics. Available metrics will change based on your selections for all previous fields; post data will be available if posts are selected, page data will be available otherwise, and time period selection will affect both previous available options.
Look Back Days: Allows data within the range to be reloaded every time the source is run.
Once the required settings are filled, the configuration can be saved and the source will be ready to run.
